In today's world, with the economy in the mess that it is, most of us are cutting back and trying to do more with less. Many gym members have canceled their memberships and/or let go of their fitness trainers to help make ends meet. Although fitness is a very important part of our lives, let's face it—having food on the table and providing for our loved ones by keeping a roof over their heads is much more important. However, what I've generally found is that while people are trying to cut back, they are not comfortable settling for lower quality or value. This means that service providers (especially) will need to be more creative and find a lower-cost way to serve their customers without reducing the quality and value of their services. This will require some ingenuity.
When it comes to fitness, what I’ve learned is that prospective clients really want and feel they need a live fitness trainer. They are not really interested in training from videos, TV programs, or static workout routines that fail to motivate them and don’t allow interaction. The internet, with supporting technologies, allows fitness companies to provide clients with live, fun, dynamic, and interactive fitness programs at a significantly lower cost. More importantly, if you can optimize the client’s time by offering both strength/resistance training and cardiovascular training simultaneously, you will make them extremely happy, especially when they begin to see results in about eight weeks.
