The person in charge of Gande Town said that this year, the town will start with improving quality at first, further implement the soil improvement of tea gardens, strengthen the fine management of tea gardens, strengthen the ecological construction of tea mountains, and promote the standardization of tea quality safety management. Secondly, it will compile the development plan of the tea industry in Gandetown, clear the development ideas of the industry, and continue to enrich the cultural connotation. It will strengthen the brand marketing of "the First Town of Chinese Tea", register trademarks for image identification and publicize and promote them. It will focus on supporting several enterprises which have obtained the famous trademark of the province to build tea plantations, help tea enterprises apply for China's well-known trademark and famous product enterprises of provinces and cities, and gradually form the brand group of Gande tea enterprises. At present, Gande Town has a tea garden area of 58,000 mu, and the output value of tea has exceeded 1 billion yuan. In November 2010, Gande Town was named "the First Town of Chinese Tea" by the Chinese Association of Business Enterprise Management. In 2011, the growth rate of gross production in Gande Town reached 13%, and it completed the tax revenue of 220 million yuan, ranking third in the whole county. The per capita income of farmers in the whole town was 11800 yuan.
