Chengguan Traffic Police Study Sinology and Promote Safety
Gansu Daily News - Science and Technology News: Yesterday, Chengguan Traffic Police Brigade carried out a comprehensive traffic safety publicity campaign, providing all drivers in its jurisdiction with a safety education training session. During this traffic safety education, the Chengguan traffic police specially hired two sinology teachers to integrate traditional Chinese learning with traffic safety, delivering a very meaningful safety education class to the drivers.
In the training, apart from using pictures and videos to remind drivers of their safety responsibilities, the traffic police also invited two sinology teachers who combined sinology with traffic safety in their lectures. The teachers used classic phrases from sinology and related them to real-life driving situations to educate the drivers. They emphasized that people should have "upright hearts, correct thoughts, proper behavior, and continuous improvement" especially when driving motor vehicles, where one needs a calm "mind" while driving. Additionally, there was a brief discussion on China's drinking culture, warning drivers about how excessive drinking can harm the body and lead to "loss of wisdom due to alcohol," as well as the legal consequences of drunk driving, thus sounding the alarm for safe travel.
