How many times did you pedal?

After another long night shift in the workshop, I finished work with goodwill and started my journey home. I was in a great mood, without any premonition of misfortune. The temperature this morning was really low; the cold made me lose sensation in my limbs. So, I decided to pedal my electric bike to warm myself up. But before I knew it, after a few pedals, the chain on my electric bike suddenly came off. My foot slammed onto the ground, and it got caught between the pedal and the ground. The pain in my foot felt like it was being crushed. At that moment, I lost all feeling in my foot. I stopped the bike and it took a while for me to regain some sensation. I was extremely frustrated at that point. Slowly riding my electric bike back home, due to my anger, I unintentionally lashed out at my second brother who was accompanying me. Despite my bad temper, my usually kind-hearted second brother didn't get mad and accepted my outburst. In fact, I regretted losing my temper right after I did it—it was my fault, so why should I take it out on someone unrelated? Here, I want to sincerely apologize to my second brother. I didn't mean to lose my temper because my foot really hurt at that time.

When I got home and got off the bike, the pain hadn't lessened at all; instead, it became increasingly worse. My mom, feeling sorry for me, prepared hot water and told me to soak my foot, saying it might help. Thank you, Mom. My dad, showing his care, massaged my smelly feet and applied medicine. Thank you, Dad. Even though my foot hurt a lot, my heart felt warm. My only worry is that I may not be able to go to work. Sigh, actually, I didn't plan to take a rest recently. Now, it seems like resting is unavoidable!
