Beijing Chigo Air Conditioning Repair Phone, Technical Information on December 10, 2011. Solution: Replace a single-room valve of the same specification to eliminate the fault. Fault Analysis: The air conditioner's refrigeration is normal, indicating that there is no leakage of refrigerant in the system and no blockage in the capillary tube. Based on the analysis of cooling (heating), insufficient heating capacity should focus on checking the auxiliary capillary tube and the one-way valve. Open the outer shell of the outdoor unit, let the air conditioner work in heating mode, and manually touch both ends of the auxiliary capillary tube with no temperature difference, further proving that the fault lies in the auxiliary capillary tube and the one-way valve. After discharging the refrigerant inside the air conditioner and welding down the auxiliary capillary tube and the one-way valve from the system, it was found after inspection that the auxiliary capillary tube had not been blocked. Use nitrogen to inflate the one-way valve in reverse to test its performance. It was then discovered that the one-way valve leaks gas, turning into a two-way valve and cannot be used anymore. Due to the damage of the one-way valve, when the air conditioner works in heating mode, the auxiliary capillary tube does not function properly. The high and low pressure difference in the system decreases, the condensation temperature of the indoor heat exchanger drops, and the heat release temperature of the outdoor heat exchanger rises, which is not conducive to obtaining heat from outside, thus causing insufficient heating capacity for the air conditioner in heat pump mode.

Note:

(1) When welding the one-way valve, make sure not to connect it in the wrong direction.

(2) Whether welding the one-way valve from the system (when uncertain if damaged) or welding the one-way valve with the system piping, always cool the one-way valve with a wet cloth and weld quickly; otherwise, the sealing parts inside the one-way valve will be damaged by heat.

Chigo Air Conditioner, normal during cooling but with a decrease in heating capacity.
