CNET March 25 International Report: Motorola, besieged on all sides, has lost or had poached a number of executives in recent months, including its CFO, marketing and technology officer, and the president of its mobile devices department.

Motorola's design center in Birmingham, UK, is likely to be the site of the next wave of layoffs, with half of the staff expected to leave. Investor Carl Icahn recently increased his stake in Motorola to 6.3%, and announced on Monday that he has applied for a court order requiring Motorola to provide him with documents about the company's strategy and executive employment.
