Ever since ThinkPad was incorporated under Lenovo, it has been highly controversial. It seems that ThinkPad fell from its pedestal to the mortal world overnight. While Lenovo was de-IBMyfing, it also caused ThinkPad to be hurt a lot. Some classic elements can no longer be found in Lenovo's ThinkPad. On one hand, there is a strategic shift of de-IBMization. On the other hand, there are "black fans" who can't forget ThinkPad classics. This is indeed a tough choice for Lenovo.
