Taizhou Ocean World is the tallest oceanarium in China, and also the largest one in Zhejiang Province. It is the first metropolitan aquarium in China, located on the northwest side of Taizhou Citizen Square, covering an area of 15.5 mu (Chinese acre), with a building area of 8903 square meters, divided into four floors. It is one of the only two aquariums in the world where visitors can tour from top to bottom. There are more than 10,000 marine creatures inside, including exhibits such as the Tropical Rainforest Pavilion, Coral Reef Biota Pavilion, Underwater Tunnel Pavilion, Ocean Carnival, and Ocean Style Pavilion, along with performance projects like mermaid shows, human-shark dances, and seal performances. Additionally, there is an ocean gift mall, a joyful ocean restaurant, and an ornamental fish sales exhibition center, making it a large comprehensive tourist destination that integrates science education, entertainment, tourism relaxation, and shopping all centered around marine culture. The dynamic, joyful, fashionable, and imaginative Taizhou Ocean World welcomes you!

The first floor: Ocean Style Pavilion

A Area: Animal Performance Exhibition Area

Watch the wonderful performances brought by four lively and lovely seals, such as ball balancing, hoop jumping, ring drilling, pulling small boats, etc. Lucky visitors may even get to have an intimate encounter with the seals.

Seals are mammals mainly distributed in the Arctic Ocean, North Atlantic, Mediterranean Sea, and waters surrounding Antarctica. There are a total of 19 species of seals worldwide. Along the coasts of China, there are mainly two species of seals: the spotted seal and the bearded seal, with the spotted seal being more numerous and found in the Bohai Sea, Yellow Sea, and East China Sea. Our pavilion showcases the spotted seal, which is smaller in size, generally about 1.5 meters in length, with its body covered in gray-brown spots. Seals are now listed as second-class protected animals in China.

B Area: Witch's Hut

Modeled after the straw hut where witches live in fairy tales, it provides various fishing nets and fish boxes for sale.

C Area: Fish Play Pool

Children can catch fish and play in the pool, and take these cute fish home. There is also a strange roar spring where the louder the sound, the higher the spring water will spray.

D Area: Children's Castle

There are small display aquariums inside, and classic cartoon characters controlled by sensors welcoming the arrival of children.

The second floor: Underwater Tunnel Pavilion

A Area: Marine Science Popularization Classroom, Marine Cinema, Marine Laboratory

In the Marine Cinema, you can watch various classic films related to the ocean, such as "Finding Nemo," "Titanic," "Waterworld," etc. The science popularization classroom regularly has professional teachers introducing marine knowledge, including fish anatomy classes to understand the structure inside fish bodies. Interested children can sign up to participate. There are also painting competitions where you draw your "favorite marine star," everyone becoming a "young marine painter" together.

B Area: Underwater Tunnel

Simulating the latest German military submarine U31, this submarine takes everyone into a 50-meter-long underwater tunnel, making people feel as if they are in the ocean, with various beautiful fish swimming past you. Not only can you see different types of sharks (leopard sharks, 3-meter-long nurse sharks, white-fin sharks, black-fin sharks, lemon sharks), stingrays, sea turtles, remoras, giant groupers, and other large marine fish, but you can also admire the British prehistoric site Stonehenge.

C Area: Ocean Theater

Three thrilling performances of "human-shark dance" and "ten thousand fish fighting for food" are staged daily. Divers dressed in bright diving suits play with sharks known as "ocean kings" in a huge pool, their sharp white teeth and sudden head-turning tail-swinging actions causing palpitations. Tens of thousands of colorful deep-sea fish fight fiercely for food, creating waves of fish tides, witnessing the marvel of the ocean in a magnificent scene. The most spectacular "mermaid legend" performance features mermaids in vibrant colors, telling a beautiful love story with King Arthur trapped under the Stonehenge among colorful fish schools in the ocean.
