The Haier TC-2130BC-BK TV has a problem of "three non-operational issues" upon startup, and the indicator light does not illuminate.

Fault symptoms: No raster, no audio, no image, and the power indicator light does not turn on.

Circuits involved, Beijing Haier TV repair: Power supply circuit.

Fault location: V804, V801, and R827 are damaged.

Methods, techniques, and tips: Precautions when inspecting the switch-mode power supply of the Haier TG-2130BC/BK TV.

Analysis and inspection: Upon examination, it was found that V804 (C1815) had exploded. The cause of this fault is mostly due to a sudden increase in grid voltage, causing the voltage across the filter capacitor C809 to rise rapidly. V801 cannot withstand the excessively high voltage and gets shorted out. Current flows through the collector and emitter of the switch transistor V801, returning to the negative terminal of C809 via R827, and the excessive current burns out R827. The emitter of V804 is connected to the negative terminal of C809, and its base is connected through R815 to the already shorted-out emitter of V801. The excessively high voltage instantly causes V804 to explode. Since this fault is caused by the above reasons, simply replacing the burned-out components V801 (D1545), V804, and R827 can repair the issue. ★Note: The resistance value marked for R827 is R27, which equals 0.27Ω, and should not be mistaken for 27Ω, otherwise, the repair will fail. Sometimes, after V801 is shorted out, it may trigger multiple component failures, such as V803, V802, and VD805. (For models TC2130BC/BK and TC2150BC/BK, the power supply circuit uses Toshiba 91 core power supply, and the motherboard uses M11 core. The M11 hot baseboard should be converted to a cold baseboard.)
