We are of the same root! Both Mercedes-Benz and BMW originate from Germany, and everyone is familiar with them. They are both brothers and rivals, and the competition between their car series at each level is particularly intense, whether they are domestically produced or imported. This July, the battle is once again heating up.
On July 16th, Beijing Benz will launch a fleet consisting of the C180K Classic, C200 Elegance, C200 Fashion, C260 Fashion, and C300 Fashion models into the market. Their prices should not differ much from the current models.
In terms of interior, the new Mercedes-Benz C-Class features a completely new surface texture for the dashboard trim below the instrument panel, which connects with the door waistline, further creating an elegant atmosphere inside the car. The elegant and fashion models of the new C-Class respectively adopt walnut wood and black beech wood for decoration. Additionally, the front row comfort headrests have been added, whose side cushions can be adjusted according to need. Unfortunately, the newly introduced domestic Mercedes-Benz C-Class will still not have a panoramic sunroof.
Since this is only a minor facelift model, the changes to the domestically produced new C-Class are limited to small modifications in appearance and interior. Changes in details such as the redesigned headlights, LED turn signals, LED daytime running lights, and tail lights integrated with LED light sources make the new C-Class look more dynamic and contemporary. The interior design, similar in style and shape to the new E-Class, breaks away from the ordinariness of the old model, showcasing the consistent noble elegance of Mercedes-Benz brand vehicles.
The front face of the new C-Class differs the most from the old model, especially the improvement in headlight design that makes the front face lines richer and more youthful and fashionable. In terms of interior and configuration, the new C-Class has made adjustments to the steering wheel, dashboard layout, and button function areas, enhancing the interior grade and luxury feel of the new C-Class.
In terms of power, the new C-Class will offer four engine options: a 1.6L supercharged four-cylinder engine, a 1.8L turbocharged four-cylinder engine, and a V6 engine, all equipped with a five-speed automatic transmission. Six-cylinder cars will be paired with a seven-speed automatic transmission. It is also understood that the pricing of the new C-Class may adopt a strategy of adding configurations without increasing the price, undoubtedly enhancing the competitiveness of the car in the luxury car market.
As for BMW, thanks to its excellent handling performance of the 3 Series and the claim of being one of the best car series in the world, the 5 Series, it has always maintained a leading position in the domestic luxury car sales. One wonders if this summer, BMW might feel a bit uneasy seeing Mercedes coming so aggressively?
