An Argentine woman fell from the 23rd floor of a building and miraculously survived.

According to reports from American media on January 25th, in Buenos Aires, Argentina, witnesses claimed they saw a woman jump from the 23rd floor of a hotel and astonishingly survive the fall.

The 30-year-old Argentine woman landed heavily on the roof of a taxi parked below, leaving a large dent and completely shattering the windshield. The taxi driver had just jumped out of the car moments before.

Alberto Crescenti, head of Argentina's emergency medical services, told the official Telam news agency that the woman was immediately taken to the nearby Argerich Hospital for treatment. She underwent surgery due to internal bleeding, as well as fractures to her pelvis and ribs. He estimated the height of the fall to be around 100 meters (330 feet).

Taxi driver Miguel Cajal told C5N television that he saw a traffic officer stopping the flow of vehicles and looking up at the sky, prompting him to quickly exit his vehicle. Moments later, the side of his taxi where the driver sits was crushed by the woman's body.

Another taxi driver, Juan Carlos Candame, told the Associated Press Television News that he saw the woman climb over the railing at the edge of the building, seemingly speaking to someone, before jumping off.

"I looked up and saw a girl climbing over the railing, talking to another person," Candame said. "Then she moved to the edge, went back to talk to that person again, then came forward and jumped."

The incident occurred on the top floor of the Panamericano Buenos Aires hotel, where the restaurant offers panoramic views of the city center, including the famous Obelisk landmark.
