The harms of depression

Depression is a common mental illness nowadays, with main symptoms including low mood, pessimism, and slow thinking, etc. As for the harms of depression, they are mainly as follows:

1. Loss of interest in daily life and lack of pleasure;

2. Significant reduction in energy and unexplained persistent fatigue;

3. Decline in self-confidence or inferiority, or feeling guilty;

4. Insomnia, early waking or oversleeping;

5. Poor appetite and significant weight loss;

6. Suicidal thoughts or behaviors;

7. Significant decrease in libido;

8. Difficulty in concentrating or decline in concentration;

9. Difficulty in association and a noticeable decline in thinking ability. Depression can fluctuate significantly throughout the day, often being the worst in the morning, gradually easing, and being the lightest in the evening.
