New Express (Reporter XIAO-YI MU, Correspondent JIAOXUAN) - A man was fined by traffic police for driving an unlicensed motor tricycle and then resisted law enforcement violently by setting fire to the tricycle! Recently, the public security organ has criminally detained Li Mou, the party involved, on suspicion of endangering public safety.

At around 12:00 noon on June 6th, during a patrol near the Telegraph Building at the train station, the traffic police noticed Li Mou driving an unlicensed red motor tricycle. Upon inspection, it was found that this tricycle had no valid documentation. Li Mou was unable to present his driver's license, disability certificate, or ID card. The on-duty police officer legally seized the vehicle. When the on-duty police officer notified the tow truck to come to the scene to remove the motor tricycle, Li Mou suddenly ran to the side of the vehicle, pulled out the fuel pipe of the tricycle, and ignited it with a lighter, causing the tricycle to catch fire before he quickly fled. The on-duty police immediately took out a fire extinguisher to put out the fire and simultaneously notified the police station and the fire department to assist in handling the situation. They also set up a cordon area at the scene and increased manpower to actively direct traffic, effectively preventing traffic chaos around the train station.

Subsequently, the traffic police department obtained evidence through reviewing video surveillance footage from the surrounding area, confirming that Li Mou had indeed committed violent resistance to law enforcement by setting fire to the motor tricycle. On June 16th, the public security organ captured Li Mou. In the early hours of June 17th, the public security organ criminally detained Li Mou on suspicion of endangering public safety. It is understood that Li Mou, who had already accumulated 12 points due to multiple traffic violations and had his motor vehicle driver's license suspended, drove an unlicensed motor tricycle on the road and engaged in violent resistance to law enforcement by burning the tricycle, posing a significant threat to the lives and property of the public as well as public safety.
