I just took a brief career assessment, and it seems pretty accurate. I learned about some of my flaws, but that's okay. It's hard to change one's nature, but as the saying goes, "风水轮流转" (circumstances are always changing). Instead of trying to fix some shortcomings, it might be better to highlight my strengths more prominently.

Your test result type is: ISTJ

Type Description ISTJ: The Most Responsible

Their Best Performance

People with ISTJ preferences have a strong sense of responsibility and loyalty towards organizations, families, and their lives. They work tirelessly and complete agreed-upon tasks on time and according to requirements. They almost always persevere through difficulties to accomplish what they deem necessary, but refuse to continue doing anything they do not understand.

ISTJ types generally prefer to work alone and take responsibility for the results of their work; however, when needed to get the job done, they feel comfortable working with others if everyone’s roles are clear and all can complete assigned tasks.

ISTJ Personality

ISTJ types greatly respect facts. They primarily use their internal senses, accumulating information and relying on this information to understand current issues. Therefore, they tend to be:

Pragmatic, sensitive without being superstitious, and highly organized.

ISTJ types use thinking to make decisions, adopting objective, logical, and resilient steps. They view tasks or systems as a whole rather than individually. ISTJ types tend to be:

Logical and analytical, independent, and sometimes aloof.

ISTJ types are clear and firm about the views they propose because they use logic based on their own experiences and knowledge to put forth these views. They trust standards and procedures because they are effective. ISTJ types only support changes that evidence suggests will lead to better outcomes.

How Others Perceive Them

When they are content with their role, ISTJ types are sociable. However, except to close friends, they usually do not reveal their rare observations and memories to outsiders. Others can clearly understand their standards and opinions, their expectations for structure and arrangement, but may not fully grasp their unique, sometimes humorous, personal responses.

People with ISTJ preferences may find it difficult to understand feelings that differ significantly from their own, but once they realize that certain matters are crucial to those they care about, they generously meet these needs even if they still find them incomprehensible. Others generally perceive ISTJ types as:

Quiet, cautious, serious, consistent, well-organized, valuing tradition.

Potential for Development

Sometimes, life circumstances do not favor ISTJ types in developing and expressing their preferred thinking and feeling.

If they do not develop their thinking, they may lack reliable ways to view the world, instead focusing on their inner memories.

If they do not develop their sensing, they may rush to judgments and actions without considering new information.

If ISTJ types cannot find opportunities to use their talents and receive recognition for their contributions, they may feel frustrated and:

Become overly rigid about time, schedules, and various procedures, become critical and discerning of others, find it difficult to trust anyone to do the job properly.

For people with ISTJ preferences, they naturally pay less attention to the perceiving and feeling aspects they do not prefer. But if they excessively neglect these, they may:

Fail to see the broader impact of current temporary decisions, overemphasize logic without considering the effects on people, fail to respond appropriately to others' relational and friendly demands.

Under extreme pressure, ISTJ types may be unable to use their usual calm and rational judgment, falling into a state of "doom approaching" — imagining many negative possibilities for themselves and others.
