According to news reports, at 11 a.m. yesterday morning, a male child's body was found in a sewer near the Yangxia gas station in Lingxiu Town, Shishi City District. The police have now intervened in the investigation.

At the scene, the reporter saw that within the roadside sewer littered with garbage, there was a floating child's body. A relative of the deceased introduced that the deceased was surnamed Wang, and was from Jiangxi Province. His father worked outside their hometown, so he usually lived with his grandparents in Yangxia Village, Lingxiu Town, Shishi. Both of his grandparents were sanitation workers. "My grandson was very obedient, he attended the senior class in kindergarten, and he would turn seven after the Spring Festival," said the deceased's grandfather Mr. Wang. He added, "We never expected something like this to happen." The grandfather also mentioned that his grandson went missing at around 4 p.m. on the twenty-eighth day of the twelfth lunar month (February 11). Many relatives were mobilized to search for him, but without any results.

Yesterday morning, the body was then sent to the funeral home for temporary placement. Officers from the Lingxiu Police Station who responded to the scene stated that the cause of death for the boy is still under investigation.
