The reason? He insisted that the driver open the door mid-route despite the bus not yet reaching the station.
The footage showed that on the morning of the 13th at 7:12 AM, Fu Youhua, a female driver with the electric bus company, was driving the No. 4 electric bus from Hankou to Wuchang. When she reached the First Uprising Square, traffic came to a halt due to congestion. At this moment, a man around 40 years old wearing a pink T-shirt approached the driver's cabin and demanded that Fu Youhua open the door.
Fu Youhua explained: "According to regulations, we are still far from the stop, so I cannot open the door." The man retorted: "I will be late for work, open the door quickly!" Fu Youhua advised him to wait a little longer, assuring him that the door would be opened once they reached the station.
At this point, the man became uncontrollably angry: "If it gets blocked all day, you won't open the door?" Seeing that Fu Youhua continued to ignore him, he began hurling various obscenities at her. Nearby, another man wearing glasses joined in and chimed in with the insults.
Hearing the offensive abuse, two female passengers seated at the front tried to intervene, but unexpectedly, the "pink-shirted man" started arguing with the female passengers and shouted at Fu Youhua: "If you weren't a woman, I'd beat you up." By this time, tears welled up in Fu Youhua's eyes.
