[Wenzhou Network • Original Report] At 7 PM on May 22, a traffic accident occurred near the traffic lights at Wenzhou Airport when a white van hit a bicycle. The injured were rushed to the hospital for emergency treatment, and the offending driver fled the scene, suspected of driving under the influence.
According to eyewitness Yang Kun, at around 6:50 PM, as he was walking towards the traffic lights after leaving the airport, he suddenly saw a vehicle with the license plate GS706 rushing horizontally across the road. A red bicycle could not avoid it in time and was struck. Eyewitness Yang Kun said that he clearly saw that the bicycle was riding on its designated path, without any violations, while the van suddenly charged forward. Then, the front wheel of the bicycle was flattened, the basket in front was broken, the rider fell to the ground bleeding profusely, and the person sitting at the back was also injured. Immediately, someone from the crowd called the nearby hospital. Currently, the injured have been sent to the hospital for emergency treatment.
