It was rumored that although Nicholas Cheung and Zhang Bozhi had several film contracts in hand, they were still actively trying to have another baby. Finally, their wish came true - she was pregnant with their third child, a daughter. It was reported that Zhang Bozhi had been working hard recently not only to earn money for her children's milk powder but also to finish her parts ahead of schedule so that when her belly grew bigger, she could rest without affecting the progress of the films. When asked by media if she was pregnant again, Miss Zhou, her agent, firmly denied it: "That is not true. Zhang Bozhi still has many films to shoot."
Recently, Zhang Bozhi made a high-profile comeback, first signing a contract worth millions for "The Best Wedding" directed by Wong Bak Ming. She also had other projects lined up including "The Female Generals of the Yang Family", "Racing" directed by Marco Mak, and "Journey to the West" co-starring Donnie Yen and Chow Yun Fat. However, strangely, there was no mention of Alfred Cheung who was supposed to be the first one to benefit from her comeback with his movie "The Great Magician". It was rumored that Zhang Bozhi declined the role in "The Great Magician" not because she was ungrateful, but because she wanted to have another girl for her sons Lucas and Quintus. Alfred Cheung, however, strictly prohibited her from being pregnant while shooting the movie. They could not reach an agreement.
When asked about whether Alfred Cheung had set such conditions, Miss Zhou, Zhang Bozhi's agent, said: "I think it's very funny how people say Zhang Bozhi is ungrateful. Everyone knows that Zhang Bozhi is very loyal. If you don't know, then how come when Marco Mak called her, she immediately helped out in his new movie; when Stephen Chow called her, she even brought Lucas along to help. Many advertisers want to hire Zhang Bozhi and her two sons to shoot ads, but she didn't agree even though they offered a lot of money!"
