The operating routes of the No. 16 and No. 6 intercity buses are from Dongguan East Bus Station to Nanshan District, Shenzhen.
Passengers on this route have noticed a strange phenomenon: the No. 16 and No. 6 intercity buses often collide with each other in places like Chang'an, Dalingshan, and Shenzhen. In just half a year, there have been 18 collisions in Chang'an alone. There have also been multiple collisions in Dalingshan and Shenzhen.
On the morning of December 9th, the Chang'an Traffic Police Brigade organized a special rectification meeting with the two transportation companies and the responsible persons for the two routes, issuing a "Rectification Notice" to urge them to make corrections.
In the past half year, the two bus routes have collided 18 times.
It is understood that since May this year, two transportation companies in Dongguan have contracted the No. 6 and No. 16 intercity buses to different responsible persons.
There are more than ten vehicles under the No. 6 intercity bus route, which is enough to cover the daily schedule, while the No. 16 intercity bus has over 20 vehicles.
Since the No. 6 and No. 16 intercity buses operate on the same route, they are in competition with each other.
In order to strike against their competitors, the No. 16 buses intentionally collide with the No. 6 buses, hoping that after the vehicles are impounded due to traffic accidents, the No. 6 buses, which have fewer vehicles, will be unable to maintain normal schedules.
According to the Chang'an Traffic Police Brigade, in just half a year, there have been 18 collision incidents on the Chang'an bus station section alone.
In addition, there have been multiple collisions in Dalingshan and Shenzhen.
The traffic police ordered the two companies to rectify.
On the morning of December 9th, the Chang'an Traffic Police Brigade organized a special rectification meeting with the two transportation companies and issued a "Rectification Notice" to urge them to make prompt corrections.
The Chang'an traffic police explained that such malicious unfair competition seriously wastes police resources and poses serious safety hazards. Especially as the Spring Festival travel rush is approaching, rectifications must be made.
The general managers of the two transportation companies both stated that the issue of the two routes competing for passengers has existed for a long time. They require both routes to strictly adhere to safety production requirements for rectification, otherwise, their operating rights and contracting rights will be reclaimed.
Chang'an Traffic Police Brigade Captain Cai Jingbo pointed out that it is hoped that the fleet and transportation companies take this matter seriously and carry out the rectifications according to the "Rectification Notice."
He also emphasized that the Chang'an Traffic Police will further strengthen road supervision. If violations continue knowingly, severe measures will be taken against the offending vehicles and drivers to ensure road traffic safety.

Humen traffic police conduct on-site rectification
Report by our newspaper (reporter Liu Zhibin, correspondent Wu Jishun) A long-distance coach of a passenger company in Humen Town frequently overloaded, oversped, and ran red lights, with more than 30 traffic violations still unprocessed. In response to this situation, on the morning of December 9th, the Humen Traffic Police Brigade conducted a safety rectification at the company, urging the company to impose strict penalties on the vehicle contractor and driver, and halt operations for rectification.
A long-distance coach of a passenger company in Humen was caught by the traffic police in Fujian Province for overloading. The Fujian traffic police department found through local traffic information network queries that the coach had more than 30 unresolved traffic violations within Fujian over the past three years.
After learning about this, the Humen Traffic Police Brigade informed the company about the traffic violations of one of its coaches within Fujian, requiring the passenger company to immediately notify the driver to pay the traffic violation fines at the local traffic police department; impose economic penalties on the vehicle contractor and driver, and require them to return to the company immediately for specialized safety production education and write a profound self-examination.
Additionally, relevant officials from the Humen Traffic Police Brigade suggested that the company dismiss the vehicle driver and suspend the vehicle's operation for rectification. If the rectification fails, the vehicle will not be allowed to resume operations.
