Yanbian News: A man surnamed Xie from Dunhua got into a conflict with another person, injuring him. Due to the other party being hospitalized, Xie was extremely dissatisfied. Consequently, he went to the hospital with a knife and stabbed the injured person, causing severe injuries. Recently, after mediation by the Dunhua City Court, Xie compensated the victim with 110,000 yuan. Xie said that he had essentially spent 110,000 yuan to buy himself a lesson.
In October 2009, Xie and a man surnamed Duan in Xianru Town of Dunhua City had an argument over the auction of forest land. At the time, Xie physically assaulted Duan. After being beaten, Duan was admitted to the Dunhua City Hospital.
"Admitted to the hospital just for getting hit a few times? I'll go back and finish him off so he's completely hospitalized!" That afternoon, upon hearing that Duan had been hospitalized after being beaten, Xie became furious. He then went to the hospital ward with a knife. Seeing Duan lying in bed, his anger flared up again, and he proceeded to stab Duan's right leg. According to the forensic examination, Duan suffered serious injuries which left him disabled. After the incident, Xie, having both hurt someone and vented his anger, began to feel some regret. He then voluntarily surrendered to the police.
