Xinhua News Agency, Wuhan (reporter Gao Xing) - Wuhan Hongtu Computer Training School once enjoyed a great reputation in the city. At its peak, it enrolled more than 2,000 students annually, earning substantial profits with tuition fees of 15,000 yuan per student. Recently, however, the school's vice principal, Wang Gangqiang, has found himself on trial for allegedly hiring hitmen to attack others. Shockingly, the intended victims were none other than the school's academic principal, Jiang Mingzhe, and his father. Jiang Mingzhe survived three stab wounds to his chest and abdomen, while his father tragically lost his life.

The case was heard in the Intermediate People's Court of the city. According to the indictment: The 28-year-old man, Wang Gangqiang, was appointed as the vice principal of Wuhan Hongtu Computer Training School in early May last year. In July, Wang Gangqiang had a conflict with Jiang Mingzhe. Harboring resentment towards Jiang, he arranged for his friend Liu Mou (at large) and others to track Jiang Mingzhe in order to understand his daily routine and find out where he lived. On August 11 of the same year, Wang Gangqiang invited his fellow townsman Han Mou (at large) and others to verbally threaten and intimidate Jiang Mingzhe near his residence in Guanshan.

Upon learning about this incident, Jiang's father decided to accompany Jiang Mingzhe to ensure his safety. On the evening of August 13, Wang Gangqiang once again invited Han Mou, Liu Mou, Zhang Mou, and others to follow Jiang Mingzhe and his father. When they reached an area near the Red Taiji Hotpot Restaurant on Jianyi Road, they first assaulted Jiang Mingzhe. When his father intervened, both father and son fought back fiercely. Liu Mou then stabbed Jiang Mingzhe three times in the chest and abdomen with a sharp knife, while Jiang's father was fatally wounded in the abdomen and died from hemorrhagic shock. Subsequently, Wang Gangqiang, Liu Mou, and Zhang Mou were arrested by the public security authorities.

The victim, Jiang Mingzhe, stated yesterday that the "conflict" mentioned in the indictment actually stemmed from deeper reasons: Five years ago, when he joined the school, the school owner, Mr. Wang, promised that if he worked there for four and a half years, he would be given a lump sum payment of more than 270,000 yuan for the remaining balance of his house purchase. However, since 2010, due to the proliferation of various computer training schools in Wuhan and the reduction in enrollment through various channels, the number of students significantly decreased. Additionally, the schools' promise of job placement often failed to materialize, damaging their reputations and drastically reducing their incomes. The computer training school where Jiang Mingzhe worked shrank from having over 2,000 students at its peak to just a few classrooms. Unable to fulfill their promises, the school resorted to such extreme measures. Jiang Mingzhe had only worked alongside Wang Gangqiang for three months, who happened to be the younger brother of the owner of Hongtu Computer School. There was no deep-seated hatred between them.

During the court proceedings, the three defendants confessed to their crimes without reservation. The prosecution recommended that the direct perpetrator, Liu Mou, be sentenced to death, that Zhang Mou be sentenced to 10 to 12 years in prison, and that Wang Gangqiang's sentence depend on his compensation situation. A verdict will be announced at a later date.
