When breeding centipedes, attention should be paid to the possible eggs produced by centipedes. Generally, each female can lay 20-60 eggs, and the smooth egg-laying process takes about 2-3 hours. The eggs are stuck together, as big as peanut kernels, and elliptical in shape. The female centipede guards the eggs for about 43 days. During this period, if disturbed or stimulated by other external factors, the female centipede will become easily irritated and agitated, and may eat all the hatching egg masses, leading to hatching failure. Therefore, the environment of the hatching pool must be kept quiet absolutely. Especially, feeding should be stopped several days before the centipede lays eggs, especially during the hatching process within 40-50 days, feeding should be strictly prohibited, otherwise the centipede may eat the food which sticks to the egg mass or embryo and eat the egg mass or embryo together. The hatching process of the egg mass is relatively slow. After 15-16 days, the eggs form a kidney shape and start to crack in the middle, which is the first molting stage; after 20 days, the second molting forms a crescent shape, initially showing the morphology of larvae; after 35-40 days, the larvae enter the third molting stage and can crawl up and down in the mother's embrace; after another 5-7 days, the cuticle of the larvae thickens gradually, the body color turns yellowish brown, living under the protection of the mother, and after a month, they can live independently and forage on their own.

The centipede is an oviparous animal, usually mating on sunny days after rain from March to June. Every year at the end of spring and beginning of summer, the eggs gradually mature, starting to lay eggs from mid-June, with the peak egg-laying period being the early and mid-June to July, and continuing until early August. Before laying eggs, the female centipede has a bloated body, with the abdomen close to the ground, moving slowly. For females showing signs of laying eggs, about 3-4 days before, use cans without bottoms, about 10 cm in diameter, to cover them individually, and seal the mouth of the can with fiberboard or glass. This effectively utilizes the breeding area, avoiding mutual interference and predation, facilitating smooth egg-laying in a quiet environment, and also making it convenient to separate young centipedes from the mother for separate tank (or pool) breeding.

On the other hand, breeding personnel should prevent themselves from being stung and poisoned by centipedes.

1. Preventing centipedes from suffering from diseases: Due to poultry, rats, skinks, etc., eating centipedes, especially ants being the main natural enemy of centipedes, one should frequently observe whether there are any harmful insects appearing inside and outside the centipede field, preventing these natural enemies from entering the pool and attacking the centipedes. To prevent ants from entering the pool, one can draw several circles around the pool with cockroach and ant powder, or mix camphor balls, plant oil, and sawdust in a ratio of 1:1:5, stir evenly, and frequently sprinkle this medicine powder around the outer wall of the breeding pool to form a circle of medicine lines. Especially during molting or egg-laying and hatching periods, centipedes have very weak resistance and are easily bitten to death by ants. Once ants enter the pool, the centipedes should be quickly transferred and the ants killed with boiling water.

Supported by Huazhong Agricultural University: As a key university in the "211 Project" construction, Huazhong Agricultural University collaborates with Wuhan Agricultural Science and Technology People-Oriented Biological Engineering Co., Ltd. to jointly study scientific farming and enrich farmers through the centipede breeding technology: People-Oriented No.2 Golden Head Centipede.

Advanced Technical Advantages: Through many years of breeding observation, multiple biological experts and professors of biological engineering from Wuhan Agricultural Science and Technology People-Oriented Biological Engineering Co., Ltd. and Huazhong Agricultural University, using selective purification techniques and biological genetic improvement engineering, have cultivated a new generation of species - People-Oriented No.2 Golden Head Centipede. After breeding observation, this variety is easy to raise, gentle in nature, strong in adaptability, fast-growing, highly reproductive, better in medicinal value, more significant in economic value, and is an ideal investment breeding project for a wide range of breeding industry friends.

Perfect Breeding Facilities: The company uses agricultural science as its advantage and life science as its characteristic, relying on the experts and scholars of the Animal Science and Technology College, taking modern biological engineering, special breeding, and insect resource development as its core, integrating research, breeding, teaching, promotion, technical services, production, sales, and import-export trade into one high-tech enterprise. It owns large-scale ecological breeding areas, solar room breeding areas, greenhouse breeding areas, and separately sets up technical training centers, seedling cultivation centers, germplasm rooms, incubation rooms, gene conversion rooms, etc., with excellent foundations and complete systems.

Wuhan Agricultural Science and Technology People-Oriented Company: Upholding the tradition of "diligent reading and hard work, self-establishment and helping others", our company aims at "scientific farming" as its purpose, and pushes forward the industrialization development of centipede resources with the business philosophy of "integrity, dedication, pragmatism, innovation, win-win". We will strive to provide our fellow farmers with higher quality, high-yield seedlings, more advanced technology, and more perfect services, let us keep pace with the times and jointly create a more brilliant tomorrow.
