At the age of 73, Grandpa Zhang said this female myna is two years old. It has been trained by four different owners, which is why it has so many skills. The only song it knows how to sing, "Learn from Lei Feng, a Good Example," was personally taught by him. To teach the bird to sing, he bought two repeat players and patiently taught it phrase by phrase. It took half a year to teach the entire song. Yesterday morning, near the No. 2 entrance of Liberation Park in the woods, reporters saw this black-feathered glossy myna housed in a beautiful birdcage, surrounded by citizens doing morning exercises. "Myna, laugh once," a woman teased it. "Hahaha..." The myna really laughed, making everyone burst out laughing. A citizen recited: "Bright moonlight before the bed," and the myna immediately responded in Mandarin: "Doubtful frost on the ground." Another citizen said: "Sing a song," and it immediately sang: "Learn from Lei Feng, a good example, loyal to the revolution..." After a moment of silence, the myna suddenly blurted out in Wuhan dialect: "Talk," causing another round of laughter among the crowd.
