In order to reduce the pressure on the ticketing system during peak ticket sales periods, Beijing area will implement staggered ticket sales by time slot starting from May 22.
Beijing Railway Bureau stated that all tickets are currently scheduled to start advance sales at 9:00 AM, which places considerable pressure on the computerized ticketing system. In order to address this issue, measures have been introduced to implement staggered ticket sales by time slot.
Specifically, tickets for June 1 will begin advance sales on May 22, with tickets for T and K prefix and regular passenger trains going on sale starting at 9:00 AM. Tickets for C, D, and Z prefix trains will go on sale starting at 3:00 PM. Tickets for temporary passenger trains will go on sale starting at 7:00 PM.
A relevant official from Beijing Railway Bureau explained that these measures only apply to the 10th day's advance ticket sales calculated from the date of purchase. If passengers buy tickets for previous train schedules, they will not be affected by this measure.
