I Am a Blade of Grass

I am a blade of grass,

Without the fragrance of flowers, without the height of trees.

I am an obscure blade of grass,

I don't think I am tall, nor do I think I am insignificant.

I have my own life, I have my own preferences.

I have never harmed anyone, and I have nothing to be proud of.

Therefore, I do not wish for others to look up to me,

Nor do I wish to be looked down upon.

If you consider yourself a mighty tree and I am just a blade of grass,

Then we cannot walk the same path.

I am a blade of grass,

If you have ever given me sunshine,

I will surely nod and smile at you.

If you give me a storm,

I will also resist and roar.

I am a blade of grass,

Though humble, I am not insignificant.
