The HP Windows7 Slate 500 is officially released

The Slate 500 weighs 0.68kg and features an 8.9-inch 1024X600 wide viewing Angle capacitive display that supports multi-touch operations and an HP Slate Digital Pen stylus for handwriting input. It uses a 1.86GHz Intel Atom Z540 processor, 2GB RAM, and 64GB SSD. VGA webcam camera is built in the front of the body to support video conferencing; A 3-megapixel camera built into the back supports video recording.

Slate 500 built-in WiFi CERTIFIEDTM WLAN, users can use the enterprise, network hotspot or home WiFi network to send and receive Email. Windows 7 Home Premium comes pre-installed with HP's own user interface optimized for touch control. The HP Slate 500 will go on sale in the U.S. for $799.
