Small常识 on Air Conditioning Refueling: How to confirm whether the air conditioner needs refueling? Especially after moving or relocating the air conditioner, cleaning is necessary. Whether you need to refuel the air conditioner, users can make their own judgment first. The following methods can be used: When refueling the air conditioner, it must be done slowly. Add a little and let the air conditioner run for about 10 minutes, then measure the pressure and current again. If not, add it in batches. The pressure and current at that time cannot be used as a standard. Otherwise, after moving the air conditioner, it may have been overfilled. During winter air conditioning refueling, you can disconnect the four-way valve coil, or manually make the indoor temperature sensor reach a temperature that can cool to start cooling. Sometimes, the air conditioner can also run in dehumidification mode, which does not require very high temperature. (1) Test: After the air conditioner is turned on normally for a period of time, if the wind blowing on your body feels very cool and can quickly reach the set temperature, and the outdoor compressor can work like a refrigerator (work for a while and stop for a while), it can be considered normal. (2) Measure: Use a thermometer to measure the temperature difference between the inlet and outlet of the indoor unit. A difference of more than 8℃ is normal. The greater the temperature difference, the better the working condition of the air conditioner. A good one can reach around 15℃. (3) Look: After turning on for more than ten minutes, open the panel of the indoor unit. You should see the evaporator (the component with copper pipes fully covered with aluminum sheets for heat exchange) evenly covered with condensate water (like dew). This is normal (more when humidity is high, less otherwise). If half has it and half doesn't, it might be due to lack of refrigerant. Local frosting or icing is also abnormal. (4) Touch: If the outdoor unit is within reach, you can touch it after turning on for more than ten minutes. The outdoor unit has two copper valves, one connected to a thick copper pipe and the other to a thin copper pipe. When refueling the air conditioner, touching the two valves should feel a temperature difference; the thicker one should be cooler than the thinner one, which is normal (there should also be condensation water when the temperature is high). Also, feel if the hot air from the outdoor unit is warm enough. If it's not very warm, there might be a lack of refrigerant. (5) Observe: Users who have used it for more than half a year can check whether there are obvious oil leakage signs at the pipeline joints of the indoor unit and the valves of the outdoor unit. If there are obvious oil leakage phenomena, it indicates that the machine has leakage because oil and fluorine are soluble, oil leakage means fluorine leakage, and fluorine leakage means oil leakage. In this case, the air conditioner needs to be refueled.
