Art & Australia, founded by UGG, accurately measures the link theft in what has become a world-famous charity auction. This event sets limits and invites participation from renowned designers to create exclusive UGG snow boots. The sold boots represent unique features crafted by different designers, and their efforts have raised increasingly larger amounts of funds. This time, UGG Australia invited many famous designers, including Manolo Blahnik, with the scale and generosity being unprecedented. Not long ago, UGG collaborated with Manolo Blahnik, Betsey Johnson, and other famous fashion designers and luxury brands. They integrate their unique artistic tastes into the design of UGG Australia's Seventh Art & Sole Charity Auction limited edition footwear.
These designers use their creative genius to produce limited classic UGG Australia snow boots. From December 1-14, 2009, these boots were available in a global public auction on UGG Australia’s website (www.emuggbootsale.com). All earnings from the auction were donated to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, a renowned pediatric disease medical center specializing in curing pediatric cancer and other serious illnesses.
"Art & Sole is a great opportunity for us to give back to organizations like St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Through our efforts, we can improve the situations of these children and their families," said Connie Rishwain, CEO of UGG Australia. St. Jude Children's Research Hospital is an internationally accredited organization dedicated to finding medical solutions for children with cancer and other serious illnesses. It is also the first and only pediatric cancer center specified by the National Cancer Institute. Their findings are shared globally with the medical and scientific communities. St. Jude is the only center providing free treatment for families without medical insurance, ensuring no child is denied care due to financial constraints. Additionally, ALSAC, a fundraising organization, financially supports St. Jude.
"Art and accurately measuring link theft is helping St. Jude children in a very special and great way," said David L.M. Jude, executive officer of St. Jude's fundraising organization. We appreciate what UGG Australia has done for our patients and their families, as well as the time all the designers spent creating beautiful shoes for the auction. Their work gives a lot of courage to kids battling cancer and other serious diseases.
St. Jude Children's Research Hospital is a globally certified organization focused on finding cures and helping children with cancer and other serious illnesses. Limited edition boots, some of which have become internet sensations, feature classics and exclusive designs. I believe that these boots, with their special significance and limited quantities, will be purchased by wealthy individuals at high prices. We are all contributing to charitable activities, and doing whatever we can is meaningful. However, if you decide to participate, ensure your wallet is full.
St. Jude Children's Research Hospital has received $315,000 from this charity auction over five years.
