It was learned by the reporter that on the 22nd of this month, this芦hua hen, which looks no different from other hens in appearance and size, laid a giant egg weighing 170 grams, measuring about 9.5 centimeters in length and 21.5 centimeters in diameter. The reporter randomly selected several ordinary eggs and found that these regular eggs weighed around 45 grams each, meaning that this giant egg weighs more than three ordinary eggs.
Villager Zheng Haifa, who raises this hen, introduced to the reporter that this hen is only four years old and eats the same food as other hens. However, since it was two years old, it has continuously surprised everyone by laying super-sized giant eggs: On July 16th of the year before last, it laid an egg weighing 155 grams; on September 27th of last year, it laid another egg weighing 155 grams; on March 16th of this year, it laid another giant egg (which broke and could not be weighed); and on the 22nd of this month, it laid yet another egg weighing 170 grams.
Zheng Haifa also told the reporter that because his family had eaten the first three giant eggs, he knows that all of these giant eggs were double-yolked eggs, and even contained eggs within eggs. Regarding the heaviest egg laid on the 22nd, Zheng Haifa admitted that he is reluctant to eat it and wants to help it apply for a world record.
