Rickard Hederstierna, a student at Lund University in Sweden, won first prize at the Design Lab 2009 competition, which was announced in London on September 24th. Its design, "Cocoon," uses RFID(radio frequency identification) technology to heat food and prepare pre-packaged genetically engineered food, such as fish or meat, and the RFID technology tells you an approximate cooking time depending on the food in it.
