History

Honor Hold is located south of the Path of Honor and the Hellfire Citadel. After the Second War, an expedition was sent through the Dark Portal to put an end to the Orc threat once and for all. Led by the valiant General Turalyon and the Archmage Khadgar, this group did their best to fulfill the mission and stood firm in the tough battles against the Orcs of Draenor. However, when the recklessly used magic tore Draenor apart, the members of the expedition had to give up their only chance to return home and close the Dark Portal from the Draenor side. In Azeroth, it is assumed that the members of the expedition did not survive and they are honored for their sacrifice. Cut off from Azeroth for nearly twenty years, the members of the expedition fought for their stronghold in the shattered world. They called themselves the Sons of Lothar in honor of the deceased Anduin Lothar.

The latest opening of the Dark Portal has thrown the shattered world into turmoil and brought Azeroth the news of the survivors of the long-lost expedition. Reinforcements from Azeroth rushed to aid the Sons of Lothar, who still held some fortresses in the shattered world, including Honor Hold. Although the Orc people could not be defeated, the Sons of Lothar, including those of Honor Hold, have regained hope. Strengthened by new troops, the members of the expedition fight to complete their mission and return to their homeland of Azeroth. Such a task remains dangerous, however, as Honor Hold is caught between two dangerous enemies. In the Hellfire Citadel, the forces of the Orcs are gathering again. And even though the goal of the fel orcs is currently unknown, the growing military strength could have terrible consequences for both the shattered world and Azeroth. On the other hand, the Burning Legion has arrived on the Hellfire Peninsula. Demons stream out of the Legion portals near the Dark Portal in alarming numbers and threaten to storm the portal. New troops from Azeroth, both from the Horde and the Alliance, fight to prevent the demons from going through the portal.
