The computer company from Utah, Fusion-io, has released a PCIe storage card based on 640GB of flash memory called the ioDrive. A capacity this large seems to make hard drives obsolete.
Not only does it have an impressive capacity, but its performance is also remarkable: it supports a maximum data read speed of 800MB per minute and a write speed of 600MB per minute. It comes in versions of 80GB, 320GB, and 640GB, with plans to release a 1.2TB version as well.
