Xinhua News Agency, Jinan, December 6 (Reporters Renwei Zhao, Fuming Lv) - A scaffolding collapse accident occurred at a construction site in Kenli County, Shandong Province in the afternoon of December 5. After searching, the body of one missing worker was found. So far, the accident has caused one death and nine injuries.
According to relevant departments of Kenli County, the accident occurred at the under-construction Kenli County Culture Building, which consists of one underground floor and two above-ground floors. Around 15:40 on December 5, a scaffolding collapse accident happened while workers were conducting cement casting. Most of the workers on-site managed to evacuate promptly.
After the accident, local public security and fire departments immediately rushed to the scene for rescue operations, sending nine injured workers to the hospital for treatment. During subsequent checks, it was discovered that one worker was missing. After a search and rescue operation by the fire department, the body of this worker was found early in the morning of December 6.
It is reported that the conditions of the nine injured are currently stable, with no life-threatening situations. The Kenli County Party Committee and County Government have already started post-accident handling and accident responsibility determination work.
