Xinhua News Agency, Jinan, December 6th (reporters Renwei Zhao, Fuming Lu) On the afternoon of December 5th, a scaffolding collapse accident occurred at a construction site in Kenli County, Shandong Province. After searching, the body of one missing worker was found. As of now, the accident has resulted in one death and nine injuries.
According to relevant departments in Kenli County, the accident occurred during the construction of Kenli Cultural Building, which has one underground floor and two above-ground floors. At around 15:40 on December 5th, a scaffolding collapse accident happened when the workers were conducting cement casting. Most of the workers on-site managed to evacuate in time.
After the accident, local public security and fire departments immediately rushed to the scene for rescue operations, sending nine injured people to the hospital for treatment. Subsequent checks revealed that one worker was missing. Following search and rescue efforts by the fire department, the body of this worker was found early in the morning on December 6th.
It is reported that the conditions of the nine injured individuals are currently stable with no life-threatening situations. The Kenli County Party Committee and County Government have already started post-accident handling and accident responsibility determination work.
