Introduction to "Searching for the Shepherd's Bean Sprouts"
The novel tells the story of a little girl who is considered a bit strange by others. She cries easily but is very cute. Her childhood is filled with many funny little stories. She encounters numerous difficulties, yet she remains resilient, living and growing up with sincerity and kindness... We realize just how difficult and lonely growing up can be. Chinese adults often educate their children through criticism and threats rather than encouragement. This work hopes that adults will better understand the beauty and fears of a child's world and care for and educate them with more empathy. Everyone can recall their own vibrant yet simple childhood through this story, finding pieces of themselves within it.
The first part narrates the journey of growth for those born at the end of the 1980s.
