Tencent Entertainment, Jian Zeng - December 2nd, the New Year film "Storm 2" held its premiere in Beijing. The directors, the Pang Brothers, attended with seven of the main cast members: Aaron Kwok, Nicholas Tse, Ekin Cheng, Charlene Choi, Kar Lok Ho, Louis Tam and Ruby Lin. At the premiere, Aaron Kwok revealed that he had suffered a rather severe injury while filming an explosion scene, but due to his mother having heart disease at the time, this incident was never made public.

A stapler needle pierced into his flesh. Kwok explained that during the filming of an explosion scene, a stapler needle was hidden within the explosive material. As he was only one foot away from the explosion site and the blast was extremely powerful, the stapler needle was propelled directly into his arm. The director was unaware of this at the time of filming and was applauding from the side saying: "This take is great, everyone's fine." To which Kwok responded: "I'm not fine, take me to the hospital."

Kwok stayed in the hospital for several days because of this incident. He stated it was the most serious injury he sustained while filming "Storm 2". However, since his mother's health wasn't good at the time, especially her heart condition, he requested the production team to keep this matter confidential, hence it was never disclosed. With the movie about to be released and the old wound long healed, Kwok no longer hesitated to talk about this incident.

Kwok mentioned that "Storm 2" was the hardest and most injury-prone movie he has ever filmed in his career, "Back then, I was so scared seeing my own blood." During the filming, he was constantly trying to find ways to ensure that even if he got injured, he wouldn't bleed. In one scene, Ekin Cheng's large sword slashed onto his head. Immediately, he instinctively cupped his hand to catch the blood. After a while, realizing there was no blood, he felt relieved and thanked Ekin Cheng.

"Young and accomplished Nicholas Tse"

Due to flight delays, Nicholas Tse arrived late after the press conference had started. His military green coat caught everyone's attention. Upon seeing Tse, Charlene Choi couldn't help but laugh: "He always loves to crack jokes recently." She speculated this might be due to having young children at home.

Tse, however, explained that it was because he met old friends. He said these past few months have been spent continuously filming, very exhausting, with his mood fluctuating between good and bad. Before coming to the premiere, he didn't expect to meet so many familiar faces, thus his mood improved instantly.

When asked when he would have children, a provoking comment was thrown at him: "Look, Nicholas Tse is about to have another child." Kwok laughed and explained that he actually really likes kids, but he has many things to do currently, like holding concerts, engaging in charity activities, raising funds for underprivileged children, all of which are aimed at helping children. Regarding Nicholas Tse, he commented, "Nicholas Tse is young and accomplished." This statement was relayed verbatim to Tse, who also smiled and said, "He can too."

Ruby Lin: The romance in the movie isn't satisfying enough

Ruby Lin's character Chu Chu has a romantic storyline with Bu Jingyun. But Lin feels this love story isn't satisfying enough, as Bu Jingyun is too cold, "I know he has Chu Chu in his heart, but he just doesn't express it." Lin firmly believes that Chu Chu will come back to life.

Collaborating with Aaron Kwok, Lin also found it quite challenging, "Bu Jingyun speaks little, hiding his emotions inside. Communication mainly relies on eye contact, testing the默契between us," Lin said. She sighed, stating that for modern people, pure romance might be harder to portray than passionate romance.

"Storm 2" will be released nationwide on December 9th.
