During the annual sessions of the National People's Congress (NPC) and Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), NPC deputies and CPPCC members submit a number of motions and proposals to the session. Behind these proposals lies the hard work of our many representatives and committee members. Our journalists feel this most profoundly.
Journalist Zheng Yongshan appears on camera: "Dear viewers, this is where the delegates of the two sessions are staying. So what are the people's congress deputies busy with now? Let's go in and take a look."
After entering, we made our way to the lodging of the Dafeng City Delegation, where we saw Principal Ji of Dafeng Senior High School who was organizing materials with his companions. This is his second term as municipal people's congress deputy. Talking about the changes in Yancheng, he has much to say.
Deputy Ji Xiyan of the Municipal People's Congress said: "Being elected as a representative again, my greatest feeling is that our city of Yancheng is changing. In these past few years, Yancheng has changed, and the general public has received more tangible benefits."
As a representative from the education system, naturally educational issues are his focus.
Deputy Ji Xiyan of the Municipal People's Congress continued: "Providing an education that satisfies the people, running schools that satisfy the people, is actually an important part of focusing on people's livelihoods. How we run quality schools, provide quality education, to meet the people's demand for quality high schools, this is actually one of the hottest topics that concern the common people."
For this reason, Principal Ji will put forward his own suggestions regarding educational issues.
Deputy Ji Xiyan of the Municipal People's Congress added: "Increase government investment at the high school stage, mobilize the enthusiasm of all sectors of society."
We sincerely hope that this suggestion will be given due attention by this administration. After leaving Principal Ji's room, we knocked on another representative's door. Inside was Mr. Zhong Hangen, a representative from the business community and Chairman of Jiangsu Huifeng Agrochemical Co., Ltd.
Deputy Zhong Hangen of the Municipal People's Congress said: "As a representative from the business community, being able to attend the municipal people's congress, I feel extremely honored and excited, but at the same time, I also feel the heavy responsibility on my shoulders."
In order to successfully participate in his first municipal people's congress, our Deputy Zhong Hangen has already done a lot of groundwork.
Deputy Zhong Hangen of the Municipal People's Congress explained: "Before coming to this meeting, I visited some enterprises and listened to the opinions of enterprise employees and representatives. At this meeting, I will bring the demands of enterprise owners and the voices of some workers to the meeting to reflect them to the government, hoping to gain the government's care, support, and attention."
Apart from showing concern for the development of the enterprise sector he belongs to, Deputy Zhong Hangen also has high hopes for the entire conference.
Deputy Zhong Hangen of the Municipal People's Congress concluded: "As a representative from the business community, we hope this people's congress can become a meeting that seeks development, supports development, achieves harmonious development, and sustainable development. We wish the people's congress a complete success."
Editorial note: Of course, apart from these two representatives, there are many other representatives and committee members offering advice for the development of various industries. It is precisely because of their existence that the voices of our common people can be fed back in a timely manner, making the government's systems increasingly sound and behaviors increasingly standardized, allowing our societal development to become increasingly scientific and healthy.
