Taizhou, November 23rd - (Ni Peng, Chen Tianbin, Zhu Xiaoying) At 1:58 AM on the 23rd, a car crashed into a big tree and caught fire on a road behind Taocang Xushe Village in Xinghua City, Jiangsu Province. This resulted in the death of two people inside the car and injuries to two others.
After receiving an emergency dispatch order from Xinghua City's 110 Command Center, the Xinghua Brigade of Taizhou Fire Department quickly dispatched two fire trucks and nine firefighters to the scene. Upon arrival, the firefighters learned that four people were trapped inside the vehicle. The two individuals in the back seat had already died, while the two in the front seat, due to the car rolling over, were pinned under the left side of the vehicle.
The rescue operation was immediately carried out by the firefighters: one water hose was used to cool down the burning car body. Under the cover of the water gun, five firefighters worked to rescue the two individuals trapped in the front seat. After strenuous efforts, at 3:02 AM, the two trapped individuals in the front seat were successfully rescued and immediately sent to the hospital for emergency treatment.
The cause of the accident is currently under investigation by relevant authorities. (End)
