The world's first open-source operating system phone, once dubbed the "iPhone killer" (a rather annoying nickname), has so far only been available in the form of pictures and very brief descriptions. Now, OpenMoko has finally distributed some prototype units to developers for testing purposes. The image above shows the actual Neo 1973 device, which comes with two batteries, a data cable, a Debug card, an SD card, and some printed documentation. When the software causes the phone to crash, the Debug card can be inserted to assist with testing and fixing the issue. Notice the slot for inserting the Debug card and the green reset button on it.
