The viewing platform by the Yalu River, which also serves as a chess and card room, is made of wooden logs.

There are five large wooden houses in a row, each with a big kang (a traditional Chinese bed-stove), which can accommodate 10 people.

On the night we came back from the rafting trip, the temperature was 14 degrees Celsius. We were the only two guests staying there, and the boss had the waitress light up the kang for us. We had two quilts under us and one quilt over us, keeping us warm and cozy, and we soon fell asleep, all the fatigue of the past few days swept away.

The next day before dawn, I went to the Yalu River to take pictures of the sunrise. Unfortunately, it was heavily overcast that day.

Walking in the dense forest outside the Baihua Hunting Village, the leaves have started to quietly turn red.
