In the first four months of this year, the output of LCD TVs in our country increased to 4.269 million units, a year-on-year increase of 89%, and the monthly production exceeded the one million unit mark for the first time; however, the output of plasma TVs was only 151,000 units, a decrease of 31.1% compared to the same period last year, lagging behind LCD TVs by a factor of 28. From January to April this year, the output of plasma TVs in our country was less than a fraction of that of LCD TVs, with a gap of 28 times between them.
