Oriental Daily News, July 31: On July 24, Tian Yuesheng, the deputy director of the Guangzhou office of the Shanxi Provincial People's Government, was found murdered in his office. The murderer was Yan Yijian, a colleague who had worked with him for over twenty years. Prior to the incident, Yan Yijian had been reprimanded by Tian Yuesheng, his deputy director, for assaulting colleagues on two occasions. In the attack, three other people in the office were also stabbed. The office stated that they intended to apply for Tian Yuesheng to be recognized as a martyr. Yesterday morning, a farewell ceremony for Tian Yuesheng was held at the Guangzhou Funeral Home.
