African albinos become wizard sacrifices. Albinism has long been discriminated against in sub-Saharan Africa, and particularly in recent years, the situation of Tanzanian albino patients has become increasingly dangerous. In Tanzania, the brutal killing of albino people to obtain their body organs for witchcraft rituals keeps happening. Many people absurdly believe that albino patients' blood and organs have supernatural powers such as curing diseases and bringing wealth. Local residents said that wizards sacrifice albino organs and bones to gods, so as to find diamonds. Fishermen by Lake Victoria weave albino hair into fishing nets, hoping for a big catch. In the past few years, more than 50 albino people have been killed for this reason.
