Ultrasonic motor

Ultrasonic Motor (USM for short) technology is a new technology that combines the disciplines of vibration, wave, tribology, dynamic design, power electronics, automatic control, new materials and new processes. Unlike traditional motors, USM does not use electromagnetic interaction to obtain motion and torque. Instead, it uses the converse piezoelectric effect of piezoelectric ceramics and ultrasonic vibration to obtain its motion and torque, transforming the microscopic deformation of materials through mechanical resonance amplification and friction coupling into macroscopic motion of the rotor. In this new type of motor, the piezoceramic material disc replaces numerous copper coils.
