General Manager beaten to death on first day in office

Around 10:30 AM on the 24th, Chen Guojun was discovered by employees at the coking plant and immediately surrounded. Subsequently, the crowd grew larger, making it impossible for Chen Guojun to escape. Tonghua Steel went into a halt that day. During the gathering, some individuals focused their grievances on Chen Guojun, surrounding him and inflicting injuries. He was held hostage. In response to this situation, Jianlong Group proposed an immediate termination of the capital increase and expansion plan. The provincial government working group, considering the need to quickly rescue the hostage and prevent the situation from escalating, agreed to terminate the implementation of Jianlong Group's capital increase and expansion plan for Tonggang Group and immediately announced it to the employees. However, a small number of people, after searching room by room in the coking plant dormitory and finding Chen Guojun, beat him again and continued to incite others who were unaware of the truth, blocking access to the dormitory and rescue routes, preventing medical personnel from entering to provide treatment and stopping public security officers from rescuing him. Afterward, through the use of loudspeakers, the leaders of the Provincial SASAC and the municipal government announced the decision to terminate Jianlong Group's capital increase and expansion plan to the gathered crowd, urging them to release the hostage and leave the scene. The situation gradually calmed down. At 11 PM, Chen Guojun died due to ineffective rescue efforts.
According to various sources, Chen Guojun was originally from Tangshan, Hebei, and was a professional manager, previously serving as a director and vice president of Jianlong Group. Recently, his body has been transported back to his hometown in Hebei by his family.
