The general chiefs of staff of the Chinese and Russian armies went to the Tao Nan Contract Tactics Training Base of the Shenyang Military Region in the morning of July 23rd, to watch the "Peace Mission 2009" joint anti-terrorism military exercise. Both parties are mainly composed of army and air force, and the Chinese participating forces include one army combat group and one air force combat group. The Russian participating forces include one reinforced motorized infantry battalion of the army, one paratrooper assault company and part of the air force forces. Both parties have invested more than 2000 troops.
