Recently, authoritative DV website camcorderinfo conducted a horizontal evaluation of HD digital camcorders in 2007. The models evaluated included the latest Canon HV20 from Canon, Sony HDR-HC7 from Sony, Panasonic HDC-SD1 from Panasonic, and JVC's FullHD GZ-HD7. This horizontal evaluation selected the top-of-the-line HD digital camcorders currently available on the market, finally giving the HD DVs from the four major DV brands a chance to directly compete against each other and soon determine which is superior.
