4. For butterfly valves with bypass valves, the bypass valve should be opened first before opening the main valve.
5. Installation should follow the manufacturer's installation instructions; for heavy butterfly valves, a solid foundation should be provided.
Usage and Maintenance Precautions for Butterfly Valves:
The relationship between the opening degree of the butterfly valve and the flow rate basically shows a linear proportional change. If it is used to control the flow, its flow characteristics are also closely related to the flow resistance of the piping. Even if two pipelines have identical valve sizes and types installed, if their pipeline loss coefficients differ, there can still be significant differences in flow rates.
