Fiber Bragg Grating (FBG) sensors, developed by the Laser Research Institute of the Shandong Academy of Sciences, rely on their own practical capabilities, technological progress, and innovation to develop a series of fiber optic sensor products with internationally advanced standards. This has led to abundant scientific research achievements and established an innovative path combining industry, academia, and research.
Firstly, by leveraging their technical advantages for innovation, they have continuously launched new products. In response to the safety needs of coal mines, they developed leading domestic fiber optic gas sensors, fiber optic microseismic and ultrasonic sensors, and built China's first fiber optic remote comprehensive safety monitoring system at the Lingzi Coal Mine of Zibo Mining Group. This achievement laid an important foundation for developing the next generation of gas and rockburst disaster prediction and warning systems, receiving full recognition from the State Administration of Work Safety, the Ministry of Science and Technology, and domestic coal mine safety authorities.
