Typical batteries begin to degrade after 300 charges; the Sonata battery can be charged up to 1,000 times and can reach 80% capacity within just 30 minutes.

Emerging U.S. battery manufacturer Boston-Power announced last Wednesday (December 10) that HP has become its first customer, as it will adopt Boston-Power’s new generation Sonata lithium-ion battery.

In response to green environmental demands, Boston-Power, established in 2005, primarily develops new generations of lithium-ion battery technology. Compared with typical batteries that begin degrading after 300 charges, the Sonata battery can endure up to 1,000 full charges. With a rate of one charge per day, a single battery can last for three years, which will significantly reduce the number of discarded batteries while also extending the life of commercial laptop batteries.

Furthermore, this battery can reach 80% capacity within 30 minutes, providing great convenience for mobile business professionals who have limited charging time.
